Business Psychology Career Day “People, AI and Wellbeing” Is Behind Us

A Unique Event Exploring the Future of Work

We are pleased to look back on an inspiring event that brought together students, academics, and business professionals to discuss one of today’s most important workplace topics: the relationship between people, artificial intelligence, and wellbeing.

The Business Psychology Career Day, “People, AI and Wellbeing,” provided participants with an opportunity to gain practical knowledge, discover new perspectives, and explore the challenges of the modern workplace through the lenses of psychology, business, and emerging technologies.

Official Opening

The event was officially opened by Tomasz Kownacki, Vice-Rector for Development; Giuseppe Leonardi, Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences; Małgorzata Foryś-Nogala, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences; and Magda Ferretti, the event’s initiator and a lecturer in Business Psychology.

In their opening remarks, they emphasized the importance of developing future-ready competencies and highlighted the need to combine psychological knowledge with business practice and modern technologies.

A Discussion on People, AI and the Future of Work

One of the highlights of the day was the panel discussion, “The Future of Work: People, AI and Wellbeing – Your Career After Business Psychology.” Experts representing various fields of business and HR explored the evolving labour market, the impact of artificial intelligence on professional roles, and the skills that will be most valuable in the years ahead.

The discussion also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, learn from industry professionals, and ask questions.

Mindfulness as a Practical Tool for Wellbeing

The programme also featured hands-on workshops led by specialists from different fields. Natalia Tinew introduced participants to scientifically supported mindfulness techniques designed to reduce stress and improve concentration.

Participants learned practical tools they can apply both in their everyday lives and professional environments to better manage challenges and support their overall wellbeing.

AI in Recruitment: Technology in Practice

Another popular session was led by Adrian Kozłowski, who explored the use of artificial intelligence in recruitment processes.

Participants gained insights into how AI supports recruiters’ work and had the opportunity to test the Jutt.ai platform themselves. The workshop demonstrated how rapidly HR processes are evolving and highlighted the competencies that will be especially valuable in the future job market.

Finding Meaningful Work

The programme also included a workshop by Renata Marcinowska entitled “How to Find Work That Gives You a Sense of Purpose? IKIGAI in Practice.”

The session encouraged participants to reflect on their values, strengths, and career aspirations. Through practical exercises, they gained a deeper understanding of their motivations and learned how to make career decisions that align with their personal needs and values.

An International Programme Track

Alongside the Polish-language programme, an English-language track was prepared for international students. It included mindfulness workshops, a panel discussion on the future of work, the workshop “Inside the Hiring Process,” where participants explored recruitment from a recruiter’s perspective and learned how to prepare an effective CV, as well as a workshop on the use of AI in recruitment.

Networking and Professional Connections

The event concluded with a networking session that created valuable opportunities to meet the speakers, exchange experiences, and build new professional relationships.

Participants had the chance to ask questions, share their reflections, and connect with fellow students, experts, and representatives of the business community.

Thank You for Being With Us

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the speakers for sharing their expertise and experience, to the organisers for making the event possible, and to everyone who participated with such enthusiasm and engagement.

We are delighted that the Business Psychology Career Day received such a positive response and proved to be a valuable experience for so many participants. We hope that the knowledge gained, the new skills developed, and the professional connections established during the event will support participants in their future career development.

We look forward to seeing you at future events organised by the Academic Careers Office!
